Today, we’re giving you a look behind the curtain and providing you with some information you should know about our guided elk hunts in Idaho. If our services sound like something you will enjoy, we implore you to start planning your trip. Before that, here’s a sneak preview of what you can expect at Rocky Mountain Elk Ranch.

Where is Rocky Mountain Elk Ranch?

Rocky Mountain Elk Ranch is located in Newdale, Idaho. It is a gorgeous property that is so off the grid we couldn’t bring in power; instead, we use a custom off-grid solar, generator, and wind system. Here, you’ll enjoy canyons, forests, and wide open spaces.

Idaho Hunting Accommodations

When you plan a guided elk hunt with us, you’ll have the option to stay at our beautiful lodge on the property or at a local Rexburg hotel. The lodge offers five comfortable bedrooms, and each room has unique wood furniture. It’s a cozy and welcoming place that features stunning views inside and out. Despite being off the grid, we still have all of the modern comforts of home. Wi-fi, cell service, and television are all available at our Idaho lodge.

What to Expect our Guided Elk Hunts in Idaho

Now comes the most exciting part – the details of the hunt. We will meet you at the lodge at 6 p.m. or by appointment on the evening of your first day. Elk are most active during daybreak, so that’s when we embark on our hunt.

We tailor our guided elk hunts to our guests. If you want a challenge, we can provide one suitable for you, but if you are looking for a lot of guidance, we have you covered as well. Whether you’re new to elk hunting or a lifelong veteran, you’ll find our Idaho elk hunts to be a blast.

Rocky Mountain Elk Ranch is a private high-fence ranch. This is important because we are not bound by season dates, you don’t have to draw to hunt, and you don’t have to purchase expensive out-of-state licenses. You can also choose any hunting method you want; rifle, archery, handgun, crossbow, or even black powder. The flexibility our guided Idaho elk hunts provide is rare and allows you to get the most out of the experience.

The hunt ends at noon on your third day. By then, you’ll surely have taken down a bull. We have a local meat processor for those wishing to have their elk cut and frozen before leaving. We also have an excellent taxidermist should you desire to have your trophy mounted.
