Below we share a few ideas to help maximize your Idaho experience.

Places to Visit during Your Idaho Vacation

The best thing about traveling is immersing yourself in the nearby sites and attractions of your temporary home. Thankfully, the area around our ranch is teeming with exciting locales and bucket list items to bring you from imagining to discovery. From day trips to fishing trips, there is a seemingly endless list of places to visit. Here are some of our favorites:

St. Anthony Sand Dunes

A mere 30 miles west of the ranch is a natural playground for those seeking an adrenaline-fueled escapade through over 10,000 acres of white quartz sand. We’re talking about none other than the St. Anthony Sand Dunes. Despite being managed as a wilderness study area, these 400-foot dunes lure riders from all over the wild west. Off-road vehicles and ATVs are welcome to scale the dunes, but if you’re looking for something more leisurely, hiking and horseback riding are popular activities as well. PMS Dune & Snow Rentals will have you covered if you need a rig.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming

The town of Jackson, with its proximity to Grand Teton and Yellowstone, has become an iconic destination for those seeking an escape from life’s trials and tribulations. In addition to a full gamut of outdoor recreation possibilities, this mountain village has an expansive variety of gift shops, outfitters, restaurants, and taverns. From family activities to adult beverages, there’s something for everyone at Jackson Hole.

Grand Teton National Park

Just two hours away, we have one of the crown jewels of the nation’s park system, Grand Teton National Park. Home to awe-inspiring mountains, picturesque vistas, and pristine waterways, Grand Teton is a must-visit destination for those embarking on an Idaho vacation. Showcasing the Teton Range, which rises to over 7,000 feet, this emblematic park is a dream come true for nature enthusiasts and landscape photographers.

Yellowstone National Park

Few places in the country can boast such proximity to two national treasures. About one and a half hours away, Yellowstone National Park is home to a diverse assortment of wildlife, including grizzly bears, wolves, and bison. Furthermore, some of the world’s most impressive geysers reside here, including the famous Old Faithful. While you’re there, venture into West Yellowstone for more sightseeing, shopping, and dining.
